Data security and backup for WhatsApp refers to the measures in place to protect user data and ensure that it can be recovered in case of loss or damage. This includes end-to-end encryption for messages, which ensures that only the sender and recipient can read the messages, as well as secure storage of media and other files shared on the platform. Additionally, WhatsApp provides the option for users to back up their chat history and media to a cloud service, such as Google Drive or iCloud, to prevent data loss in the event of a device failure or loss. **

WhatsApp data is not stolen by any specific individual or group. However, there have been instances where hackers or malicious actors have attempted to steal WhatsApp data through phishing attacks, malware, or other cyber threats. It is important for users to be cautious and protect their personal information by using strong passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, and being wary of suspicious messages or links. **

WhatsApp does not steal data. However, there have been concerns about the app's privacy policies and data sharing practices since it is owned by Facebook. WhatsApp collects user data for targeted advertising and sharing with third-party services, which has raised privacy concerns among users. It is important for users to review and understand the app's privacy policies and settings to protect their data. **

WhatsApp does not "steal" data in the traditional sense, but it has been criticized for its data privacy practices. In January 2021, WhatsApp updated its privacy policy to allow for more data sharing with its parent company, Facebook. This sparked concerns about user privacy and data security. While WhatsApp claims that the content of messages remains encrypted and private, the sharing of user data with Facebook has raised red flags for some users and privacy advocates. Ultimately, whether WhatsApp "steals" data is a matter of interpretation and perspective, but it is clear that the app's data privacy practices have been a source of controversy. **
